Meet Our Team – Series Week 4

Greeting readers!

Welcome back to the final week of our 4-week series focusing on Touchstone Health Services Prevention Department! Last week we met the Health Educators, so if you missed it, be sure to go look! This week we talk with the Community Liaisons and Community Coordinator! Before we move on, here are this week’s affirmations:

  • I am determined to live life to the fullest.

  • I trust my ability to make healthy choices for myself.

  • I breathe in courage, I exhale doubts.

Our Community Liaisons focus on providing 2 parenting programs (Positive Parenting Program and Active Parenting of Teens) to the Alhambra, Glendale, and Phoenix areas. The Community Coordinator ensures all social media platforms are up-to-date and loaded with helpful resources and information on various health topics, as well as plans and coordinates the annual CARE Conference, among other duties. Let’s meet the team!

Neida Paez – Community Liaison

Hi! My favorite thing about my name is that my initials are N.A.P and I love naps! If I’m not out eating with my friends or spending time with my family, I binge-watching Korean dramas on Netflix.

How have you overcome a challenge faced during this past grant year?

I was able to overcome a challenge during this past grant year by working together with my team to come up with new ideas and gain support. Being able to vent with my team and feel that I am not alone in the way that I feel was very helpful to help me build resilience.

Just for fun:  If you could be friends with any celebrity, who would it be and why?

If I could be friends with any celebrity, I would be friends with BTS—no hesitation. They all have different personalities so I think getting to know them and spending time with them in their daily lives would be so much fun. Traveling and hearing about their adventures, and the way they think, and feel would make the friendship of a lifetime.

Daisy Pacheco – Community Liaison

Hi! My name is Daisy Pacheco, and I am a Community Liaison with Touchstone Health Services. I was born and raised in Arizona and enjoy hiking our mountains, especially when you reach the top and watch the stunning sunset. Also, I like watching movies and spending time with my partner and puppies.

How do you measure your success in your position?

In my position, I measure my own success by the goals I set for myself. I do my best to meet or exceed my goals. If I make mistakes along the way I make sure to know where I need to improve and what I need to work on. Also, the feedback I receive from parents/guardians after completing parenting programs helps me in knowing if I am achieving those goals.

Just for fun:  If someone gifted you a gift card, what store would you want it to be for and why?

I would definitely want it to be for Target. I love their dollar section. I always find something that I like for myself or my home.

Here’s how YOU can be a Prevention Partner:
