In our last BLOG, we wrote about the growth amongst youth and young adults using vape. This month we want to share with you the newest trend when it comes to vaping. We know that teens preferer to use vape devices over the common cigarette because they can be cheaper than traditional cigarettes and may be labeled as safer. Other reasons, like flavors, can also be part of the high use amongst youth.
There has been a growing concern within the community that teens are quietly and careful using vape devices. These devices are NOT for teen use they are for adults use only, the reason for this is that they can negatively affect brain cells. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the state of Arizona, the FDA rules ban the sale of e-cigarettes and other tobacco products such as premium cigars, hookahs and pipe tobacco to people under the age of 18, which must be verified by photo ID. However, the newest trend that we have heard of is “Vape Wear”. Vape wear is a product that can be easily attach to any clothing that may have a drawstring, some online sites sale custom designed drawstring clothing. The propose of vape wear is to smoke hands free or smoke without being seen. These custom designed drawstring products can be attach to nearly all vape cartridges, electronic cigarettes, vape pens and much more. While using the custom drawstrings, the user can use their devise in plain sight such as school and blowing the smoke under their hoodies that keeps the smoke concealed.
According to surgeongeneral.gov website: Electric-cigarettes create an aerosol by using a battery to heat up liquids that usually contains nicotine, flavorings and one can add marijuana and other drugs substances in their cartridges. User can add much substances or nicotine with no trained measures. Some experts believe that using e-cigs have more nicotine than a traditional cigarettes and teens can progress to smoking cigarettes.
